Archive is

Fred Willson and James Spalink performing their favorite music in Celtic, Classical and Jazz styles.  Jim and Fred’s musical adventures run through history and across genres as they draw from their Archive of diverse musical interests.  They perform not only on Guitars, but on a variety of related instruments including Mandolins, Renaissance Lute and Celtic Harp.  Performing as a classical guitar duo, they blend European traditions featuring selections from the Italian Renaissance through the Baroque and Classical eras into the Romantic period.

Recordings:

•  Into the Light is Archive’s first recording as a duo.  It includes music from several genres including Celtic, Classical and Jazz.
• Hush is Jim Spalink’s recording of original music for the Celtic Harp.  It was composed in honor of his first grandchild.
• Christmas Eve and Oh, Tannenbaum are Jim Spalink’s collections of Christmas music.  A colorful tapestry of holiday favorites performed on many instruments both ancient and modern.
• A Time Apart   Fred Willson’s collection of fingerstyle arrangements of hymns and gospel songs.  It is music suited for quiet reflection.
